This advanced level door class examines the more complex installation and product features available with Commercial Sectional door products. Training is divided between classroom and the Tech Center.
Day 1: Class time will focus on special applications for commercial doors and students will learn to identify and specify the correct door for the right application. Students will install a commercial sectional sandwich door with a jackshaft operator following a best-practice approach. Advanced trouble-shooting, service and door maintenance will be reviewed and techniques will be presented in both classroom and tech center environments.
Day 2: Will begin with a thorough evaluation of commercial mounting options including inside/outside hookup, torsion rear, roof pitch/incline track, full vertical lift and double incline track. Students will convert a high lift door to a roof pitch mount. Class concludes with a plant tour, final review and a written and installation test.
Recommended for: Installers with 1+ years of experience or completion of Commercial Sectional 2-200.
